Do you deserve all the love you receive?

I get a lot of love from my ex ( my sons father) After all I dealt with and what he put me through I deserve every bit of it. I'm just mad that he waited until I was fed up to change. Now I have a really hard time accepting it from him and can't find it in my heart to fall back in love with him or take the chance of him acting the way he did before I got rid of him
