Do you remember life without cellphones?

I sure do! Cell phones are convenient and a source of security, but there are times I wish I could throw it out my car window. I hate being reachable anywhere I go, I hate the guilty feeling I get when I don't take it with me, I hate being expected to call back immediately, and I hate being called about trivial things which could've waited until the caller could talk to me face to face. Most of all, I hate talking on the phone, but what can you do? It's the way of the world today.

Sure do. Back then people actually paid attention to their driving. And if they had a free hand, they used it for more important things like picking their nose.

LOL yeah I do, and up until just a few months ago I seemed to get through most days without needing or wanting one. I haven't had mine very long, but now I can't imagine being without it.

You had to go to a pay phone instead and when your car broke down you had to knock on a door in the middle of nowhere to use their phone.

Yes, I remember life without cellphones. That would be 1996 for me. I was not happier, but that had nothing to do with a cellphone. The only real reason I have a cellphone with me at all times is because I'm a female out on the road a lot and after having cars that break down on me in remote locations, it's safer. I'd be quite happy to ditch the cellphone if I had a gopher to drive me around and make sure I was safe all the time. do you know any gophers that might be interested in the job?
