World Traveller flying with BRITISH AIRWAYS:
The seat pitch is generally 31-inches (varies slightly by aircraft type) - this is the distance from the back of your seat cushion (where it meets the upright support) to the back of the seat in front of you.
Seat cushion width is 17.5-inches.
Angle of maximum seat recline is 5".
Overall length of seat back upright is 24-inches.

Virgin Atlantic’s Economy:
With an average seat pitch of 31", our seats are designed to maximise legroom, so you'll have plenty of room to relax and stretch your limbs during your flight. New seats also have adjustable headrests and lumber supports!

Both seat pitch are same....
I have used British Airways from London to HOngkong, I think it's alright in average...the flight meal was fine and the flight was stable..as there are all night flights..so the most of time..i was sleeping...
Virgin Atlantic is alright too...so it's really depend on ur feeling...
For me..there are all same average.....

I like British Airways more, because it is cheaper.

British Airways is a four star airline.
British Airways Seat Pitch
Economy:31"
Premium Economy:38"
Business:73"
First:78"

Virgin Atlantic is also a four star airline.
Virgin Atlantic Seat Pitch
Economy:30"-31"
Premium Economy:38"
Business:79"

British Airways
From Hong Kong to London Heathrow is $3,510-$3,190(Economy),$6180-$7090(Premium Economy),$27760-$39980 (Business),$39980-$49080(First).

Virgin Atlantic
From Hong Kong to London Heathrow is $3,230-$3,550(Economy),$6220(Premium Economy).

維珍航空
因為英國航空在2007年的行李遺失率高達3%
雖然維珍航空只是4星級航空公司,而英航是5星級航空公司
但無謂負擔這3%行李遺失率

BA is NOT dangerous. The chance of death in flying is only 0.00000028%, moreover no-one died in that incident.

Virgin Atlantic does not operate FIRST or BUSINESS classes. Instead, they operate the Upper Class. The Upper Class is not as good as BA's Club World or FIRST, but all of them are wide and comfortable and are fully-flat beds. They have priority boarding and deplaning, with exclusive lounge access.

The price is very very cheap, less than $100,000 so many people can afford it. Also the food is better on British Airways, as are the service. Please refer to www.airlinequality.com for details.

I have never travelled in Economy Class so I dont know what does it look like.
