just 頂 is not a 粗口, but you add something more than that... it will be 粗口.
by the way... if you use "頂" at school... you may get into trouble too... so its all depence on situation...
if you say 頂 in the group of friends... i personally don't think is a really big deal
BUT if you say that in front of those older generation... like parents, teachers whatever... they may think you said 粗口
