請問help 後跟 verb，help 後是否可不用加to 或 verb + ing 呢？thx

e.g:my friend helped me edit my essay for grammer and spelling mistakes.

New internet tools help you work with others better.

這兩sentenses 是對的，但help 後的verb 前都不加to , 是否美式英文呢？

help是一個非常特別的動詞，因為它可以跟動名詞，to-infinitive，和bare infinitive。
如：You can help us improving our service.
　　You can help us to improve our service.
　　You can help us improve our service.
都可以，並不是美式、英式的分別。

或者可以這樣說：help之後的to infinitive的to，可以省略。

對唔住！一時記錯，help之後不會用object gerund.而是直接用 ing form，並且，通常用在can’t help xxing.所以忘記第一句吧。
