first the writer of this book is not Chick,is his daughter. Chick is the one who met his mum again.

They went to see the people who think Posey(chick's mum) at that moment and some of them died later. Also, Chick knew more about the life that shared with him and Posey.

Posey did house-washing which she didn't like to raise Chick and his sister. Her favourite job is nurse in the hospital but because she is divorced and beautiful some male patients always asked her out. So, she sacrifices and left her favourite job to do house-washing instead.

Dad went to war in the World War 2 and met a woman in Italy. they stayed together during the war. But when the war ended, dad knew he could went back home safely, so he dumped the woman and asked Posey to be his wife. Later on, that woman moved to US and met daddy also the woman had a son who is older than Chick. So daddy always joined that woman. Posey discovered that and she was heart-broken and demanded daddy to leave and no longer to come back to the home. So daddy left..
