my notebook is very old version of COMPAQ, Presario 2100.
i would like to recovery the window, but i hvn't got any disk.
Can i do that if hv no disk? and how?
Pls give me answer if u know, thanks a lot

no need to format and reinstall windows.
1. download AVG free and SPYBOT to a usb key
2. boot up computer, press F8 to enter safe mode with networking
3. setup AVG and SPYBOT, update their pattern/definition online
4. scan and clean with them one by one.
5. click start - run -msconfig, disable non-microsoft services and disable strange program names items in startup
6. reboot
