Matilda 是一個天才兒童，三歲時就會閱讀，還會拖著小車到圖書館借一堆書回家讀，她在七歲時就把館裡的書全部都看完。她的爸媽卻不認為這是件好事。他們認為的「好 事」是成天坐在電視前看個不停，吃電視餐，想辦法賺黑錢。這樣的認知差距，使得與眾不同的瑪迪達在家中飽受壓迫，地位比她那個蠢豬哥哥還不如（爸爸有重男 輕女的觀念）。所幸她在學校有一個愛她、欣賞她的Miss Honey老師。
Matilda要對抗的不只是混帳父母，還有學校裡兇惡、一身蠻力、 實行暴力統治，生起氣來會將小孩像鉛球一樣丟擲的女校長！還好Matilda很聰明，她懂得運用智慧把可惡爸媽教訓於無形，後來她更善用自己意外發現的超 能力趕走女校長，讓學校、房子重回Miss Honey老師的懷抱。

Matida佢好中意睇書.但係佢冇機會去讀書因為佢屋企好窮.
Matida loves reading but she doesn't have chance to study because her family is poor.
但係佢好中意佢既生活.有一日.佢呀媽 左..
However, she enjoys her life. Suddenly one day her mither died.
佢老豆娶左個後媽番黎..個後媽唔中意佢..
Her father married someone else but her step mother doesn't like Matida.
所以將Matida賣左去第二度..
so she sold Matida to else where,
結果..Matida俾一個老女人買左..
Matida was sold to an old woman.
Matida自此就要同其他差唔多大既女仔係一個好差既環境之下做野..
since that matida have to work in a bad environment with other girls in similar age
佢每日都做到好夜.. 但係佢臨訓前都會睇書..
she work untill really late everynight but she still read before she sleeps.
因為佢真係好中意睇書
because she really love reading.
有一次..佢做野果度既老闆黎工廠探訪佢地做野..
onr time the boss of where she work visits while they were working.
佢發現Matida做野好勤力..之後佢做俾個機會去鋪面招呼客人..
discovered that Matida is hard working so he gave her a chance to serve customers
佢對個個客人都好好..有一個女士特別中意佢.
she serve every customer really well and a woman really like her
有一日個SUSAN留低左個銀包係間店鋪度.
one day, susan leave a wallet in the shop
之後Matida即刻追出去俾番佢//點知出到去..
Matida chased her out to give her back
SUSAN差D俾車撞到. Matida救左佢一命..
susan near hit by a car and Matida saved her life
之後SUSAN好感動..最後仲買番個女仔番屋企..
susan really thanks Matida, so finally she boughtMatida home
當佢係女咁..俾機會佢讀書TIM... 最後Matida生活好開心
treat her like her daugther and give a chance for Matida to study.
and Matida live happily ever after
