Like another answerer, I speak all of those languages.

It's hard to say which is more difficult, they are difficult in different areas!

Korean is difficult because of Hangul, and its weird pronounciation rules. Don't let friendly Koreans fool you, Hangul isn't logical!

Japanese is difficult because of its grammar. Japanese people are quite proud of this though...

Chinese is difficult because it's hard to pronounce. I don't find the Hanzi difficult though, but I suppose I've gotten used to it...

So I guess it depends on you. If you're bad at spelling, Korean will be difficult. If you have trouble remembering grammar rules, Japanese will be hard. If you don't have a good "ear", or can't remember complex pictograms, Chinese will almost impossible.

having studied all three languages, and being vietnamese, i would say chinese is the hardest.
chinese doesnt have an alphabet, and say in order to write a word, you cant spell it out, you have to remember what the character looks like, which is a lot harder.
also, for those who dont come from asn background, chinese has tones and sometimes it is hard for westerners to pronounce the chinese words.
i would say korean is easiest, then jap then chinese.
although, korean and japanese are VERY similar

I want to learn Japanese too but I'm bad at learning languages - I just can't remember them. Which is really annoying because I find languages so interesting. I think Japanese is one of the more difficult ones, especially as it's so different from English. If you want to learn to write in kanji/katakana I've heard that's very difficult.

chinese (especially cantonese) is the most difficult one. i think japanese is much easier because it's easier to write and speak.

I say Mandarin is the toughest one to gain the basic fluency. One of the hardest writing systems in the world(probably the hardest) The pronunciation and tone are difficult but get that down and grammar is easy.

Japanese is probably toughest to master. Nothing easy except pronunciation. The writing system, grammar, the way you speak, most are difficult.

Korean has very easy writing system but not so easy grammar, complex different level of speech. Pronunciation is not that hard but most people I've heard(except one Chinese girl I know) don't have right grip.

All 3 languages are considered not easy by most Westerners but Mandarin(and Cantonese is even harder) is the hardest imo.

I am currently studying all those languages, yet I am fluent in Japanese. I can say, with experience, that Chinese is the most difficult. Out of all the people in my Chinese class, I am one of two who speak Japanese, and out of the whole class, we are the only ones who understand what laoshi(teacher) is saying.......If you are planning on studying any of the three, I suggest taking Japanese first, it will help you immensely.
