請問兩詞在使用上的分別?( 因為平常可能用和講比較多用total)

Amount (n) = 數量, 銀碼, 通常有關數字, 金錢.
Total (adj) = 總計
Total (n) = 總數 例: What is the total they added up together?
Total (v) = 合計, 總共 例: The bad debts total up is $4,500.00.
也有兩字一齊用的. 例: The tatal amount added up is $5,000.00.
