My English is bad, how can I improve?

First, YOU MUST HAVE INTEREST IN ENGLISH. Everybody's asking the same question. They do know the answers. However, after asking this question they just put the answers aside. Some answers are so well known so I won't repeat them myself. If you have interest in English, your English will improve without asking how. The reason why most people are poor in English is because they just have no interest.

Second, FIND A GOOD TEACHER. As we all know, many English teachers in HK have failed the govt's assessment test. Finding a good teacher is like finding a good student. Good luck.

Third, START SURING ENGLISH WEBSITES., WATCHING THE ENGLISH CHANNELS etc etc.

IF YOU ARE DETERMINED AND TAKE IT TO ACTION, YOU WILL SUCCEED.

其次, 找到一位好老師。眾所周知, 許多英語老師在HK 在govt 的評估測試不及格。找到一位好老師是像找到一名好學生。祝好運。第三, 起動SURING 英國網站, 觀看英吉利海峽等等。如果您是堅定的和採取它對行動, 您將成功。

I personally had no interest of English AT FIRST because people are only aiming for the result and neglecting the process. (The Beijing-Roast-Duck Method of learning....Memorization) So I failed my English at school because what I knew was to copy the answer from the grammar book.

Later, I learned English in Canada for 8 years and I found that watching English movies with English subtitles do help ALOT!~ because you are not only listening to the words, but also visually reading them (They help listening and spelling)

The second source of reaching a better standard of English is to "Live with English"
Write your blog in English.....(NO matter if the grammar is right or wrong, but at least you are thinking in English, or read English magazines....something that you like....fashions, cars, porn....whatever~~) (Help Writing and Reading)

Language is not like Math of any other kinds of subjects, (Memorization doesn't work all the time) just like Cantonese which you can substitute by other words and many ways to express.

P.S: Difficult words do not mean a higher level of English; sometimes easy vocabulary can express your sentence more efficiently....Grammar is more important

多看英文报纸,现在有免费英文报纸,不用像我们以前要花钱买.看到不明白的英文ESSAY就问老师,再把它用NOTEBOOK写低,有空就拿来看等自己不会忘记.其实多看明珠太也是有用的,不要用NICAM. READ more English newspaper, now you can get FREE newspaper and don't have to pay any money to buy that as we did before, once you found any eassy or sentences taht you don't understand, mark it down and ask your teachers, then write it down into your notebook and re-study them when you are free and you will never forget them in the future. By the way, you can also see more Pearl channel but don't use NICAM.
多读,也可以读报纸. READ more, speak out loudly and make sure that you can pronounce them.
多写,写错不要怕,谁没有错过呢?从错误中学到的才会是您一生也不会忘记的. WRITE more, don't be afraid to be wrong as everybodies must make mistakes, learning from the mistakes should not be forgotten for the rest of your life.
