i dont understand it.
i know the answer would be 16 19/15
but how do you change that into a regular fraction?
like a mixed number or something??

okay, it's easy. so you have 19/15. Tell me, how many times can 15 fit into 19? once. so write a one first. now, you just turned 15 from the numerator into one19/15 = (15/15) + (4/15)
= 1 + (4/15)
19-15 is 4, so 19/15 is equal to 1 4/15.
now add that back to the 16 you had before, and you'll have 17 4/15.

well 19/15 is a inproper fraction so you take 19-15 and you get 4, you keep the denominator and just take what u got from 19-15, which is 4 and put it over 15, the denominator, and add 1 to the 16 which gives you 17 4/15

you can change them both to improper fractions and add them that way. depends what your teacher is looking for. so 7 3/5 would be 114/15 after all the simplyfying, and 9 2/3 would be 145/15. add them and you get 259/15.
