Explain why the other three options are wrong.

1. A big piece of stone of mass 1000kg lying on the ground can be pushed to move by a bulldozer exerting a force of 4000N on it. The stone is then hung up vertically by a rope and a workman pushes it with a horizontal of 100N. Which of the following comments concerning what happens to the stone is correct?

A. The stone can never be moved by the workman since its mass is much bigger than the mass of the workman.

B. 4000N is the horixontal force, since the workman life it up vertically, so the horizontal force is no matter
C.the force exerted by the workman is horizontal so is no matter
D. the stone moves vertically, so it wont have any horizontal acceleration

A, B, C are wrong because the stone is hung up vertically by a rope before the workman push it. So the stone can move .
