Laptop without gps signal?

Installed GPS (gobal positioning system) software into my laptop but couldn't recieved any signal while using. Is there some special antenna a need to plug in order to get gps signal?

Yes-you have to be able to transmit your signal for GPS to pick up your laptop

Yes. An antenna is required you would need to install a GPS card that has all the needed hardware for GPS to work.
I suggest you read the manual that came with your software, it will have all the answers.
