Is it alright for a guy to say "I love you" to another guy?

I am a man, and I have said "I love you" to two different men friends of mine within the last few months. There were some major circumstances involved -- for example, one of them, a friend of many years, was having an operation to amputate his arm and shoulder. Just FYI, I've been married (to a woman!) for 21 years.

You know, it's pretty complicated... Imma try and explain this for you...

I'm sure you already know that one word or one phrase can mean a lot of things, depending on the context they've been pronounced in. Saying 'I love you' can also have different meanings.

I don't know why, but no one thinks it's wrong for a woman to tell another woman 'I love you', but they think it's really wrong when a guy does that... to another guy !

Did you people ever think about the fact that maybe they're close friends ?

My opinion is that it's alright when men do that, no matter if they're gay or not !

ya ,we have to think when a guy tells gay we ought not to think when guy tells o other guy.According to me if i like my friends i will tell""i love u'' only to girls

Of course it is. There are several types of love.....(alright, clerical talk here......stop up your ears if you aren't a believer)......Eros is the erotic, physical, sexual love.........Phileo (some say Fileo) love is affection, and then there is Agape love which is where you are willing to give your life for someone. I say "I love you" to my son all the time. He's married, 33 and as straight as Robin Hood's arrows. I wouldn't think anything about it...unless it is a guy saying it to you and you are uncomfortable or self conscious about it. In that case, I'd talk to him and gently let him know that his remarks are making you feel uneasy.

Um well it either he's gay,, or he was jk,, my guy friends say "I love you" to each other but their just playing...

Why wouldn't it be? Women say it to other women all the time.
