Let me explain:

Leeds are in League 1, if promoted they go into the Championship, if promoted again they go into the Premiership.

So, it depends how long it takes for each promotion. If promoted this season and next season they will be in the Premiership in 2009. If they don't get promoted twice they don't get into the Premiership.

Not hard to work out really, it's the same for every team in their league.

I think Leeds is difficult to be back in the top flight shortly as they are playing in low league now. But I suggest they rehire ex-coach O'Leay, I think he may be help Leeds to promise in the top flight.

First they need a seriously rich owner!
2008-01-03 8:53 pm
could possibly be longer than 3 or 4 years.dont know much about how much money they have
2008-01-03 7:33 pm
the way they are playing at the moment and sustaining it, a couple of seasons with the right management and influx of players,I am out of contract at the present

Well there finical situation is improving but slowly i think they will get promoted this year then it will take another 3-4 years to get promoted again that is if they dont go straigt back down which i doubt but if they do we have a problem so overall i would give it 5 years but longer before they become a dominate force again if ever .............

the way they r playing at the mo id say pretty soon,n 2 b up there after a 15 points deduction speaks 4 itself
2008-01-03 7:26 pm
they couldn't do much worse than derby...

Great question! :)

They are having a great season, and i can definatly see them being promoted to the championship this season.
However they do have to be one of the most unlucky teams don't they, after there relegation they were forced to almost give away some of there best players (Alan Smith and Harry Kewell are two to note) And now with all of that administration point deduction nosence they are really in the thick of it.

Anyway back to the question, i feel that leeds will be promoted to the championship this season, stay in the Championship one season then be promoted again into the Premiership.

I reckon there's a long wait involved there matey.
I would gladly see them swap places with the dirty Mancs though anyday.
