actually milan is a safe city in italy! dont worry about the safety in milan becoz many police around the city, and there are at least 2 police outside the metro station. u can take the budget airline from london to milan, there are many chooses for u, eg easyjet etc. easyjet is really a good budget airline. u can check the fare and available time on the website!
moreover, i recommed u stay in milan not more than 2 days! coz there are not much places are really worth to visit. if u wanna shopping, milan will be a good choice!
