(星島日報報道)還有不到一年就到北京○八奧運，本港有份協辦馬術比賽，成為吸引旅客的大賣點。特首曾蔭權在施政報告提到，要借助馬術比賽，推廣香港作為旅遊盛事之都，大搞「奧運旅遊」。政府除了舉辦奧運嘉年華，帶起全城熱潮，同時推廣體育運動，康文署轄下的公眾泳池和球場，在明年七至九月都會免費供市民使用，預計政府將少收一億元收入。

　　明年北京奧運，本港協辦馬術，要吸納世界各地旅客在這段期間訪港，現時已展開海外宣傳活動。曾蔭權在施政報告內指出，本港應借此機會將香港打造為旅遊盛事之都。
