若ignore與neglect同解作”忽視”，那麼ignore的程度比neglect嚴重，若你查考字典（牛津第六版）ignore 的第一條下的解釋為：to pay no attention to sth.（對．．．不予理會）；而neglect第二條下的解釋為：to not give enough attention to sth.（忽略：直譯：沒有給予足夠的注意）。
