I'm Chinese, learning English language.
I want to improve my English ability throuth the Internet,
While I don't know too many good websites of the USA.
Actually, what most we Chinese people know is merely Yahoo and Google, or not many things else.
Answer me what is your favourite website?
Is there any website that is alike Yahoo?

Your pretty good for a learner. Yahoo is popular.
But Youtube.com is more popular.
Its a website for videos. Maybe you can watch videos and try understanding what the people are saying.
Maybe you should go to Yahoo chatrooms and talk to english speaking people. =)

Also if you dont understand something in English... you should go to http://www.tigernt.com/dict.shtml to see what the word means in Chinese.
It will help you learn more. =) and that is a smiley face. Americans do it a lot on the computer.

yes actually it is along with google and youtube, i agree with ninnx3 you should try watching videos there just to get yourself familiar with how americans talk like. you can also browse though google and search for translators, or news published and just read along, if you dont understand some of the words just google it again to find out what it means, i hope this helps, a blessed new year to you and your family.. by the way your english is not that bad at all... take care

I use Yahoo and google. To learn English better go to newspaper websites. ( LA Times, NY Times Washington Post, etc.) or radio station websites to learn the sound of the language better. If your government will allow it. Try typing "American radio stations" in your google search engine. Your English is very good, by the way.

Actually yahoo and google are also well known sites in the USA. Its all I use.

no yahoo isn't that popular in the USA. I never see anyone use it. No one ever wants to chat on Yahoo messenger. People use google stuff and AOL. all the people i know with yahoo are foreign.
