install 2nd Hard Disk which stated "slave: off"

I am trying to install a 2nd hard disk which is a Maxtor hard disk model 91024U4
It is stated on the shell that "slave: off"

Does it mean it is normally cannot be used as a 2nd hard disk? Or I can also set it as 2nd?

通常同一條Cable有兩個硬件就一定要set Jumper,線頭是Master,線中是Slave,線頭是行Windows HDD,Master多數係後面電源位右至左第四條,Slave多數係唔插,(請看 HDD有Jumper說明).或二隻HDD Set Cable Select右至左第三條.
