There are various causes on high blood pressure. There are drugs for symptom reliefing (i.e. to lower the blood pressure within a normal range) but not curing. Thus continuous medication is important before we find out the cause and cure the disease.
E.g. Too much salt in the diet, high fat/ cholesterol intake are the major causes. Thus a balanced diet and health/ good living & eating habit is important.
Furthermore, stress and tiredness will cause high blood pressure (hypertension) as well. Thus bed rest, drink enough water and good mental health is also important to prevent high blood pressure.
I will not recommend exercise/ vigorous exercise but meditation, yoga & Tai-chi are good to patient suffering from high blood pressure.
