Birthday date

I would like to ask ,I was coming from china to Hong kong on 1956, my father claim I was born on 1950 years, so my I.D card isued my birthday date is born in1949, but recenty my mother told me I was born in1952, so what can I do ?

On your ID card, other than your date of birth, there should be a date of issue. There must be a law in China that a child's birth must be registered within certain period such as one year. Look at the date of issue on your ID and you should be able to figure out if you were born before or after 1952.

Is there any legal concern? If not, it is good to know you have a step forward to get the Old Age Allowance. You can get the "fruit money" when you are 65.
