驚喜的英文係乜?

首先, 你要明白驚喜一詞可以係名詞、形容詞

例如：

今天，小明突然送了一份「驚喜」給我。(名詞)

今天，小明突然送了一份禮物給我，令我又驚又喜。(形容詞)

普遍黎講，最簡單的有surprise (noun, verb). - surprised (adj) - surprising (adj)***

例子：

What surprises me most is that the guy could be the chairlady of the Chinese Club! (令我這驚奇的是，那個女人竟能成為中文學會的主席 - 這裏作動詞)

On my birthday, Siu Ming gave me a surprise - a hand-wrought scarf.

當然, 除左surprise之外, 仲有好多同義詞：

miraculous
shocked (adj.), shocking (adj.)***
wonderful (adj.), wonderment (n.)
incredible...

如果你查下字典, 你或者用查到同「驚訝」唔同意思
其實以上既字話就話係同義, 但係每個字造出黎都一定有唔同
但一樣可以表達「驚喜」既意思：

好似incredible咁, 佢同surprised好似冇乜關係, 其實不然
例如：
"This is incredible (you may also use impossible)!" exclaimed John.
(「這是沒可能的！」john說。)
其實, 字裏行間就已經反映出john係好驚訝, 有「驚喜」...
仲有, 唔識用個字一定要查字典, 否則會惹來笑話...
