why multiculturalism?

i guess it's time that white people open up their eyes of the world, since i am studying in australia, i encounter many innocent white people, i know it's not their fault, but however, the world is not revolving around them anymore. i guess they believe in a belief of love, that everyone should simply say hi and greetings most of the time, and be friends with each other. also they believe eating western food is good although there are some exceptions. one day it's even becoming riduculous that they said asians are so close minded cause they just make friends with asians. i am asian too and deep inside me i actually prefer making friends with asians more but i still have tons of white friends if u ask. i am from asia and it's because it's just in asia, the culture is u don't have to waste so much time to associate with other cultures, i wouldn't be bothered about racism, segregation and things like that even i am treated like that here.iguessitstimethatwhitepeoplerestricttheirideology.

I don't actually believe multiculturism works,i think it gets in the way of intergration.
I live in Cardiff, Wales where there has been a big muslim community for years but there hasn't been much intergration with the white population from both sides.
Instead of seeing Wales as their homeland they still look to Pakistan, even 2nd or 3rd generations born here.
Cardiff Council and the welsh assembly would rather spend their money translating pamphlets and other publications into the most obscure languages than investing it english language courses.
Multiculturalism puts minority groups at a disadvantage because it encourages comunities to live as they have done in their own countries, instead of embracing their new homes.
I lived in Australia myself and i found south east asians very much intergrated into society.
I have friends in Australia who are Vietnamese, Thai, Greek, Italian, Spanish etc.
They have one common denominator and that is they all consider themselves Australian.

In some places, several ethnies are together.
Samuel Huntington has showed that if nothing is done, at the places where two different cultures are in contact, they will fight.

What are the solution to avoid those fights ?

1)- Have a strong dictatorship power, that will crush anyone that cause troubles. It works. In Iraq, saddam hussein was murdering the whole familly of someone that was fighting with an other ethny and it was finished. all cultures could be mixed.

2)- But in the country where we are in democracy, the politics must find an other solution. So, they try.. it's never perfect and there is not any universal solution that work for each place in the world.

They don't do it to make you waste some time. It's because everyone must live next to the others. Who love wars ?

World is complicated...

as an asian too, i can understand why you would prefer to have asian friends - they came from similar cultures to yours and can relate to your life and parents, etc. white may feel a little uncomfortable around you since they look at you and see you're different and all, and you may have different interests than you do and may not be able to relate to them as well.
