1. If log 0.8=m, then log 4*square root of 5=?

log 0.8 = m
log 8/10 = m
log8 - log10 = m
log8 - 1 = m
log8 = m + 1
3 log2 = m + 1
log 2 = (m + 1)/3

log [ 4 sqrt(5) ]
= log4 + log[sqrt(5)]
= log4 + (log5) / 2
= log4 + log(10/2) / 2
= log4 + (log10 - log2) / 2
= log4 + (1 - log2) / 2
= 2 log2 + (1 - log2) / 2
= 1/2 + (3/2) log2
= 1/2 + (3/2) (m+1)/3
= m/2 + 1

2. Consider the following two graphs.
I. y=(x+3)^2+12
II.y=3(x+3)^2+12

answer is (A. The two graphs have the same y-intercept.)

y-intercept of I = y = (0+3)^2+12 = 21
y-intercept of II = y = 3(0+3)^2+12 = 39

1.log 0.8=m
log 8/10=m
3log2 - 1=m
log2=(m+1)/3

log 4*square root of 5
=log 2*2square root of 5
=2square root of 5(m+1)/3

2. A is false.Because the y-intercept of I. y=(x+3)^2+12 is 21, but the y-intercept of II.y=3(x+3)^2+12 is 39
