Just write 2/3.

1 - 2/3 = 3/3 - 2/3 = 1/3

1-2/3
take lcm
so it will be
(1*3-2)/3
(3-2)/3
1/3

do u mean 1-(2/3)
=(1/1)-(2/3)
taking lcm as 3, in place of 1 write 1x(greatest common factor between denominator of1 and lcm). now 1 is single so we can safely assume that its denominator is 1. now greatest common factor of 1 and 3 is 3. so 1x3=3.so we write 3 in place of 1)
=(3-2)/3
=1/3

to further clearify see following qs
(1/2)-(2/3)
now lcm is 6=2x3
so in place of 1 write 1x(greatest common factor between 2 and lcm ie 6=3)=1x3
and in place of 2 write 2x2
so qs now becomes (1x3-2x2)/6
=-1/6

1 - 2/3
= 3/3 - 2/3
= 1/3

/ = ÷
