Shan Shan cycle from City A to City B at 100m/minTze Ming cycle from City B to City A at 80m/min
Siu Ying cycle from CIty B to City A at 75m/min
Let t be the time Shan Shan meets Tze Ming.
After t mins, Shan Shan cycled 100 x t =100t m
Tze Ming cycled 80 x t = 80t m
City A to B = 100t + 80t = 180t m --- (1)
Shan shan meets Siu Ying 6mins after Tze Ming = t + 6 mins
Shan Shan cycled 100 x (t + 6) = 100t + 600
Siu Ying cycled 75 x (t + 6) = 75t + 450
City A to B = 100t + 600 + 75t +450 = 175t + 1050 --- (2)
(1) = (2) ; 180t = 175t + 1050
5t = 1050
t = 1050 / 5 = 210 min
City A to B = 180t = 180 x 210 = 37800m = 37.8km
