Mandy measures that a pack of A4 paper(with 500 pieces inside) is 48mm thick, and the relative error is 1/240. Find the range of thickness of each piece of paper.

48mm thick (500 pieces)i.e. 48/500 = 0.096mm (each piece)
as the relative error is 1/240
then the range of thickness of each piece of paper would be
0.096 * (1-1/240) ~ 0.096 * (1+1/240)
i.e. 0.0956~0.0964mm

The format is == 500/48mm+1/240
500/48mm-1/240
=10.42--10.41 or 10.41--10.42
500/48mm-1/240
=10.42--10.41 or 10.41--10.42
