your AT using the lock up mode when speed around 60 miles/h (80km/hr)
meant the engine direct transmit the power to transmission ( by pass the torque convertor) gear teeth and then to drive shaft.
which will much more fuel economy then before. so the engine rpm a little bit drop down (150 rpm), at the lock up mode, you would not see the engine rpm rise when you step on the gas, it seem the pointer not move ( speed 60 miles/hr)
except 1/2 throttle or pressed the brake pedal, the lock up will release.
the engine rpm pointer will move again.
once AT lock up , normal driving on paved road, so run through the incline 1 to 3 degree will felt the engine chok or pulsation movet ( this pulsation came from the transmission torque convertor)
