5a^2(2b) or not 2b that is the question

5a x 2b x a
= 10a^2 b

1st combine like terms so 5a x a = 5a2 ( 5 a to the second) then it equals 5a2x2b i think hope I'm right

let us first take an example
when we multiply 2 with 2 we get 2^2
so 5a*a=5a^2
now we need to multiply this by 2b
just multiply constants that is 2 and 5 with each other and then multiply variables that are a and b.
so we get 10a^2b

ok well you first you must group all the like terms together, so it will look like this:
5a x a x 2b
this now equals:
5a2 (this is a sqaured sign) x 2b
this now equals:
10a2b or ten a sqaured b

umm... you just multiply them together... so...

5a x 2b = 10ab

10ab x a = 10a^2 b

5a*2b*a
5a*a*2b
(5a*a)*2b
(5a^2)*2b
10a^2b
in words ten a squared b

5a x 2b x a
= 5a x a x 2b (group like terms)
= 5a^2 x 2b (combine like terms)
= 10a^2b

btw, the "2"s after ^ mean squared
