No.
Not really.
It's kinda cute.
I know a boy named Ryan, and a girl named Ryan.
Its probably not the name..Im sure she just wants to give the baby his own identity..no one wants to have the same name as there dad and be a II..or a junior.
Your name is not a bad name. My hubby wanted me to name our son after him, but I declined. Not because I hated the name, but because it would develop confusion when he gets older. I think that is very crude for her to say that she hates your name!!
No it's not, but sometimes a woman doesn't want to name the son after the father, it's normally nothing against the dad. If there are alot of Ryans in your age group, think of it that way, she had to hear that name alot. I refused to name my son Christopher for that reason (thats my hubbys name) the name annoyed me hearing it all through school. Don't take offense to what she said, that's for sure, and think about it this way: you two can be creative when you have a son someday!
lol.. I like the name Ryan! maybe she doesn't want two Ryan's in her life. Just one!? You.
I was going to name my son Ryan, but that's my brother-in-laws name and I thought that would be weird!
I didnt use to think it was a bad name but it is my exes name so I would never choose it, LOL. I used to like that name it is not a bad name, but everyone has their own opinion, maybe she thinks it is too common (at the day care I work there are several Ryan's).
no, but Seacrest really hurts.
No, Ryan is a good name. Some people just have their own preferences. Don't worry about it.
No, not at all... in my opinion. That's just it. It's all about what your personal preferences are. Everybody is different. Maybe she thinks it is too common. Maybe she doesn't like names with 'y' in them. Maybe she wouldn't want the boy to have a unisex name. The list could go on and on. Don't feel bad. Just because she doesn't like your name, doesn't mean she doesn't love you as a person. Don't sweat it, you aren't having a baby anytime soon anyways... just deal with that when the time comes. Hope this helps!
i love that name. my cousin is name ryan, and he's a great guy... good looking, very nice...
I dont think it is a bad name i have a cousin and a step brother anmed ryan and if it is anything by personality they are both lovely people.
No, I love that name! Ryan, Kyle, and Cameron are my favorite guy names.
No. It's not bad. That was a mean thing to say.
It's just a little common but a nice name =)
Nothing is wrong with Ryan. Ryan is a gorgeous name. Shes nasty. Some girlfriend
Ryan is not a bad name, it's just that too many people are called ryan, like 3 of my friends and my brother so it gets a little confusing when there are too many ryans
Aw, Ryan's a lovely, classic choice! LOL Perhaps she simply doesn't care for the practice of giving a child the same name as the father, and thought simply saying she disliked the name would be a somewhat easier explanation for the time being? ;)
No, besides the fact that it is slighted dated to the 90's, I think its pretty great. It's one of my favorite names. Maybe she would like Riley / Reilly (ry-lee) which is similar but a littler fresher sounding or maybe Rylan (ry-lin) ?
I love the name Ryan. there's nothing wrong with it.
I love this name. It was my favorite name from 3rd grade on up to early college - until another name replaced it. I still have a warm spot for it!
Perhaps she thinks it is too popular. This name was popular in the 80s and 90s, so maybe she is just tired of it. Or else, maybe she does not want to have a junior. Perhaps you can convince her to consider Ryan in the middle name spot?
Maybe she doesn't want her child to have a name that every other male has.... Or maybe she thinks a son being named after the father is a stupid idea, which it is.
I like the name Ryan. I think it's cool
its not, except that like ever other guy yu meet
has the name ryan! be unique!
i even kno a few girls with the name Ryan!
Maybe because it is pretty common? Didn't you have at least one other Ryan in your class when you were growing up? She might just have a bad association with it.
she doesn't want to call him...like Ryan Jr. or Ryan the Third
Ryan means Little King and I like it.
i would want something original.
but its you .
No - but there's a heck of a lot of it about. Besides, doesn't the child deserve a name of his own to grow into? Big Ry and Little Ry would just get annoying very very quickly.
I thinks she wants to give the baby its own identity. I personally don't want to name my child after the father but in my b/f case I would because he is a jr. Fortunately for me he doesn't want our child name after him. I would only consider giving my baby his fathers name as I said if it was afamily name.
Any name that could be a boy or girls name is unappealing, personally. But that's just me.
