當年日本侵華事件,日本天皇應該要付上責任嗎?

If USA did not drow 2 atomic bombs to Hirosuma and nagasaki, I think the Japanese Empire would not surrender, because during the end of WWII, the emperor said they would offend untill the last Japanese died, that is 一億玉碎. After the war, the US army collected many weapons from the local unit. So 一億玉碎 was not a lie. If US tried to defeat Japan by landing the mainalnd of Japan, US would pay a heavy cost for Japanese surrender.
That's why we can conclude that the decision of dropping atomic bombs was a must. If not, more people would be suffered. Not only the American, but also japanese mass.

The Emperor obviously knew the plan of invasion, as that was 田中奏摺. However, I criticized whether he could stop the militarymen to start the war as the militarymen had already controlled the court after the 1936 Coup. The Emperor had no choices, though his great powers was listed in the Meiji Constition. However, he should be responsible to the outbreak of the WWII as he was the head of japan and did not try to stop the brutal war.

If the emperor was guilt, why did not USA kill the emperor?
Japanese imperialist family had ruled Japan for over 2500 years. The emperor was already the spiritual head in the heart of the Japanese. if the US killed him, the anti-US feeling would be intensified.The situation maybe out of control. The war may be till longer.
Japan was also an important base for the anti-communist frontline in the East Asia. The emperor was still useful in the politcal sense. Preventing the arouse of anti-US feeling by not killing the emperor could help USA in controlling Japan in the anti-USSR campaign.
To conclude, though USA was not morale in not imposing the capital punishment to the emperor, she was wise in the political sense.
