how can I solve 4x = -24?

4x = - 24
x = - 6

4x= -24
x= -24/4
x= -6

so the answer is -6.the main reason to solve this problem is to find the value of x.n if u would like to check if ur answer is right u can substitute the value of x n c if L.H.S=R.H.S like this

checking:
4x= -24
4*-6= -24
-24= - 24

L.H.S=R.H.S

It's really easy!
x= (-24)/4= -6

divide by four on both sides. then cancel 4x. do -24 divided by 4 and u should get 6

4x = -24
(divide by 4 on both sides)
x = -6
