Sweet and Sour Pork
Ingredients:
Pork shoulder meat 500g
red and green bell pepper 1 of each
canned pineapple 2slices
green onions 4-5 stalks(use only white part)
garlic 2 cloves,sliced
oil for frying
Seasoning:
Marinade for pork:
salt 3/4tsp
sugar 1/2tsp
chicken powder 1/2tsp
egg 1pc
cornstarch 3/4cup
Sweet and sour Sauce:
white vinegar 4tbsp
sugar 5tbsp
ketchup 2tbsp
tabasco 1tbsp
salt 1/2tsp
cornstarch 1 1/2tsp
water 2tbsp
cooked oil 1tbsp
Cooking Method:
Cut bell peppers into desired size.
Wash pork and cut into small pieces. Wipe dry and marinade. Dip in beaten egg and coat with a thin layer of cornstarch.
Heat oil in wok, and fry pork pieces in oil until golden brown in colour. Take out,and fry again in oil after 3 minutes until it floats. Take out and drain off excess oil.
Remain 1tbsp of oil and stir fry bell peppers. Add in sweet and sour sauce, stir well, then add in fried pork and fry until combined and serve.
