3 methods :

10 = 4*2.5
? = 3*2.5 = 7.5

3/4 = (3*2.5) / (4*2.5) = 7.5 / 10

3/4 = 0.75 = 7.5/10

3/4 = ?/10
the lowest common denominator is 2 (2 x 2= 4) (2 x 5 = 10)
take the multiple and multiply it by the numerator given (3) (2 x 3 = 6)
therefore
3/4 = 6/10

Ok. Let me walk you through this. What x what equals 10? 2x5. So 2/5 x 3/4 = 6/20. Then we have to figure out what the greatest common factor of 6 and 20 is. That factor is 2. So 6/20 divided by 2/2 = 3/10.
