The cost of 10 dozens of eggs is$60. If half of eggs were sold at a profit of 50%,and the rest were sold at a profit of 30%, find the profit for selling all the eggs.

Ans:

the cost of each egg
=60/(10x12)
=$0.5

the profit for selling all the eggs
=60x0.5x50%+60x0.5x30%
=$78//

2.Uncle Wong bought 600 oranges for $500. Among them 25 are rotten, and the rest are sold at $2 each. Find the profit percent.

Ans:

Cost of each oranges
=500/600
=$5/6

the sold price on total of all orange
=(600-25)x2
=1150

the profit percent
=(1150-500)/500 x 100%
=130%//

3.A grocer bought 500 KG of potatoes at $400. Among them, 10% were rotten. He sold the good ones at $1.8 per KG. What was the profit percent?

Ans:

sold price
=500x(1-10%)x1.8
=$810

the profit percent
=(810-400)/400 x100%
=102.5%

1. no. of eggs = 10x12 = 120
(120/2)x(1+50%) = $90
[120-(120/2)]X(1+30%) = $78
the profit for selling all the eggs = (90+78)-60 = $108

1.The cost of 10 dozens of eggs is$60. If half of eggs were sold at a profit of 50%,and the rest were sold at a profit of 30%, find the profit for selling all the eggs.
the cost of each eggs=60/[(10)(12)]=$0.5
the income
=(120/2)(0.5)(1.5)+(120/2)(0.5)(1.3)
=45+39
=$84
the profit for selling all the eggs=84-60=$24
2.Uncle Wong bought 600 oranges for $500. Among them 25 are rotten, and the rest are sold at $2 each. Find the profit percent.
the income
=2(600-25)
=$1150
the profit percent
=(1150-500)/500*100%
=130%
3.A grocer bought 500 KG of potatoes at $400. Among them, 10% were rotten. He sold the good ones at $1.8 per KG. What was the profit percent?
WEIGHT of potatoes rotten=50KG
the income
=1.8(500-50)
=$810
the profit percent
=(810-400)/400*100%
=102.5%

第一位既計算有d問題the profit for selling all the eggs=60x0.5x50% 60x0.5x30%[=15 9=24]{點解會變左78}=$78//[同埋profit利潤應該係收入-成本]

1)The cost of 10 dozens of eggs is $60, so the cost of first 5 dozens of eggs is $30 and sell it with the price of 30x(1+50%)=45,the profit is $15. For the rest 5 dozens of eggs, the price is also $30 but they will be sold at the price of 30x(1+30%)=39,the profit is $9.
therefore, the total profit of selling all the eggs is $39(65%).

2)There are 600 oranges and 25 are rotten, so only 575 oranges will be sold. As the price is $2 each so the income os selling these oranges is 575x2=1150.
The profit is 1150-500=650, the percentage of profit is 650/500 x 100%=130%.

3)There are 500KG of potatoes and 10%(50KG) are rotten, so only 450KG of potatoes will be sold. As the price is $1.8 per KG, so the income of selling these potatoes is 1.8x450=810. The profit is 810-400=410. The profit percentage is 410/400 x 100%=102.5%
