Good morning everyone~
Today we are to discuss an indeed controversial motion, that "girls learn better than boys". Based on concrete evidence, I am sure the motion today must stand.
Let me first make ourselves clear. Yes, we believe girls learn better than boys in terms of both effectiveness and efficacy by several reasons, but we do not mean that boys are less intelligent. Boys can just excel in other areas, like sports or maths, that often has little to do with learning itself. We just can't pretend too different sexes could have evolved identically. To say that supporting today's motion entails discrimination of male is akin to a hasty generalisation(a logical fallacy: come to a conclusion too fast without enough evidence). So please don't shout at us on that later in your speech.
My teammates will be telling you specifically about reasons why we hold today's motion so true. Our second speaker will explain the innate character differences between the two sexes, while our third speaker will talk about how the learning skills employed by the two sexes are likely to be different. And our fourth speaker will go through some more scientific grounds with you, and our fifth speaker will give you some supporting statistics.
Thank you very much for listening to me, hopefully you will all see our rationale for supporting todays motion.
