Do you pick up 1 cent off the street?

must agree with bundy.... not that i wanted to save money for some big mission, but money is money. just last night, i went out strolling with a couple of friends. one who saw a twenty cent coin kicked it off the kerb. i went to pick up which later made up the exact amount i needed for a soft cone in burger king. and i love seeing the little amount i pick off the street gives some meaning in my life. it is worth it.

some people (especially chinese) dont pick up money from the street, believing that karma will result in them losing an equal or more amount of fortune. some believe these moneys have spirits and would bring bad luck to the household where the money goes. i only believe in what lies before me :)

btw, if you saw someone stepping on a one cent coin which obviously bears our beloved hibiscus... would you consider him un-patriotic?

Before i left Malaysia to New Zealand, i was so poor, but i knew i have to safe money to go, after many years of picking money, any cents, off the street, i got enaugh to go. Now i thank God, that i did what i did. It's not a mere cent can make a different but a whole lot more, takes time. Money don't grow on trees, every cent count.

LOL i only pick up the ones that are heads up. A lil childhood superstition I have carried on to my adult life. As for the value, well my nice 5 gallon water jug has plenty value half full!! :-) gotta love Coinstars!!

Yes, after all, even 1 cent is money which can be dropped into Donation Boxes......I see many 1 cent coins on the counters in several post offices. Anyone who is short of the ''odd'' amount can just take one from the counter. No questions asked....LOL.
