Let X be William' s score and 2X-1300 be Edward's points .X+(2X-1300)=6500
3X-1300=6500
3X=7800
X=2600
so,William' s score is2600.
and Edward's points is 2X-1300= 2(2600)-1300=3900
so Edward has got a higher score .
3900-2600=1300
so Edward has got 1300ponits higher than William' s score .
