Have you ever let a friend borrow $1000 - $2000 but they did not return it?

My dad did that once and not only lost his money but his friend too

My boyfriends superb chum at present owes my boyfriend approximately $one million,500, and is paying him lower back like $a hundred right here and there. My BF continues to be lending him money now and lower back, too, so it is extremely 2 steps forward on step lower back. My BF would not look to care in any respect approximately this, yet I do! We merely offered a house and are going to end the basement so we want $$$, yet my guy refuses to rigidity his chum. i assume my element is that despite if the lender (my BF thus) would not care there continues to be the opportunity of hysteria coming from a various source (me).

I've learned my lesson on lending money to ppl including own family members. There's really nothing you can do if you try to ask for it back & the answer is "I can't pay you back right now" or they just simplely play memory lost! Trust me, don't lend money to anyone, it just gonna hurt the relationship/ friendship between both of you if he/she doesn't pay you back. Most of the chances of getting your money back from the person you lend to is only 10%.

A good rule to live by is to never lend out more money than you can afford to give away. I don't know why she got mad at you after you asked her to pay you back. I had to sue an ex-roommate before in small claims court. I won.

Never lend money to friends or relatives unless you're prepared to lose it and them.
