Cat pees on furniture?

I recently started a new job and my sister is at home watching my three children for me including her two little ones. It is a lot of noise during the day so much that my cat has been hiding under my daughters bed. Lately my cat will not use the litter box to relieve herself instead she does it on my couch *which is leather* and on my clothes that I leave lying around. How do I prevent her from doing this? Her box is always clean and she is well cared for. I am upset with finding crap around my house. I ahev had her for seven years and she has never done this before. What suggestions do you have to make her stop or what is making her do this in the first place? Help.

Your cat is stressed. You said that you started a new job and your sister is at your home with your three children and your two....

Cats do not like change. You can purchase a Product called Feliway which is a spray and follow the directions. It has natural pheromones which will calm the cat down. It takes a few days to be effective.

You have to make sure that none of the children are chasing or scaring or grabbing your cat in a non gentle way; this can cause cats to become anti-social also.

If the behavior improves slightly, you can also get a plug in version of the pheromones which is called Comfort Zone.

There is another product which is all natural called Rescue Remedy, and that can help also.

You can also help by leaving an item of clothing near one of your cats comfort spots so that she can have the comfort of your scent.

It is basically the pet version of Separation Anxiety.

Good luck and have a Merry Christmas.

cats usually goes pee on places that she has pee on before, you could buy one of those sprays that could destroy the odor of the pee on places she pee before and clean up her litter and throw those paper in her litter box to show her that she has to go pee in there and lock her up in the room where the litter box is so it's make her know that she has to pee there.

I would have your cat looked at by vet to make sure she is ok, a change in toilet habits can be a sign of hidden illness.
