microsoft words "sub numbers?"?

how do u put sub numbers for mircrosoft words? like.. H20 but i want the 2 to be small so i could get water.... anyone know how?

The easiest way is this:

1. Select the text you want to be a subscript.
2. Press CTRL/=

That should do it.

This may or may not help - I am not an IT genius. My parents only have "Microsoft Works" installed on their computer, for example. They get all kinds of error messages when trying to "run Word". But, if I e-mail them a Word document, they actually CAN open it. That is the only way that they can open and utilize word. Then, from that document, they can create Word documents (not by "creating new", but rather by erasing everything and then typing and then saving it as a new document altogether). I hope this helps.

Select the 2, then go to Format menu | Font
then choose Superscript under Effects category.
