「受歡迎程度」的英文是什麼??

“受歡迎程度” 的英文可以是：degree of popularity 或 extent of popularity。

如果用 degree of popularity, 便可能指有統計表之類的調查, 顯示某些人或某些東西受歡迎的程度, 例如Yahoo也有個「人氣榜」顯示每週最多人瀏覽的人和事。我們可以說, 根據Yahoo「人氣榜」：The Legco By-election was highest in the degree of popularity last week (立法會補選是上星期受歡迎程度最高的新聞)。

注意：是 degree of popularity 或 extent of popularity (不是 popularity degree 或 popularity level or extent), 這是英語慣用法。

其實, 要說 “受歡迎程度”, 英文很多時根本不必用 degreee、extent 或 level 等字, 只須用 popularity一字, 或 popularity+形容詞 便可。例如 A) 英超聯隊伍受歡迎程度的調查指出, 曼聯是高於阿先奴、車路士及利物浦, 英文是 Polls on the popularity of English Premier League teams have put Manchester Utd ahead of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool； B) 伊拉克戰爭及其後的駐軍是布殊總統受歡迎程度下跌的原因, 英文是 The war on Iraq and the subsequent stationary of troops there is the main cause for the decline in popularity of George W Bush.
上面第一例句只用 popularity一字, 而第二句是用 popularity+decline(形容詞), 完全沒有用上 degree、extent 或 level。

上面「人氣榜」的例句用了degree, 但唔用degree或level等字不但一樣可以, 更且比較好：The Legco By-election was highest in popularity last week (用形容詞highest + popularity).
