Actually it is NOT necessary to state your reason of resignation. And you should also keep your letter short and to-the-point. so here we go:

Dear Mr Chan,

Letter of Resignation (underlined)

Please take this letter as my resignation from ABC Company Limited. The last of employment would be 31st Janaury, 2008.

Thank you very much for your guidance over the past 2 years. I wish you and ABC Company Limited ever success in the years to come.
