Voltage supply, V = 12 V Current, I = 1.6 A
By V = IR
12 = 1.6R
R = 7.5Ω
So, the equivalent resistance of the circuit is 7.5Ω.
Now, one more 6Ω resistor is connected in series.
So, new equivalent resistance, R’
= 7.5 + 6
= 13.5Ω
Reading of the ammeter, I’
= V / R’
= 12 / 13.5
= 0.89A
So, the answer is B.
