a)2[(3x+2)+(x-3)]<= 42
3x+2+x-3<=21
4x-1<=21
4x<=22
x<=11/2
b)
the greatest possible value of x = 5 if x is an integer.
c)
length of the rectangle = 3x5+2 = 17 cm
width of the rectangle = 5-3 = 2 cm
greatest possible area = 17 x 2 = 34 cm^2.
