the length and width of a rectangle are (3x+2)cm and (X-3)cm respectively ,and its perimeter is not greater then 42 cm
A)find the range of values of x
B)find the greatest possible value of x
C)find thr greatest possible area if x is an intrger

a)
2[(3x+2)+(x-3)]<= 42
3x+2+x-3<=21
4x-1<=21
4x<=22
x<=11/2

b)
the greatest possible value of x = 5 if x is an integer.

c)
length of the rectangle = 3x5+2 = 17 cm
width of the rectangle = 5-3 = 2 cm
greatest possible area = 17 x 2 = 34 cm^2.

a) 3x+2+x-3+3x+2+x-3<42
8x-2<42
x<5

b) x=4

c) length = 14cm
width = 1

area: 14*1=14cm2
