Under Rehabilitation of Offenders Ordinance, there is some exception for Rehabilitation of Offenders Ordinance, that I have to disclose my record in some situation. what are those exception?

how about apply a teacher job and actuary. do I need to disclose my criminal record?

My case was not a big one, but it sure does not look good in my application.

edb.edu said that Rehabilitation of Offenders Ordinance is not applicable for the purpose of teacher registration I just don't want to get in more trouble. my past should not be a problem to be a great teacher but sure does not look good on the resume

cool but maybe I know what part of the law said that?

In summary, the ROO does not apply in the following cases:
being a barrister / solicitor / licence or permit holder (eg. liquor licence holder) / prescribed officer (eg. police, immigration, customs & excise officer etc.) / Insurer or director of an insurance company / MPF trustee / director or CEO of a bank / foster parent / accountant.
You would not need to disclose your criminal record if you are applying to be a teacher or an actuary. However, if you move up on your career path and become a director of your insurance company, you may hve to disclose your CR at a later date.

it is not applicable only in cases of sexual crimes (eg. child molesting) or crimes involving the abuse of children / infant. so if you were involved in a crime that is not of the above nature, eg. common assault (drunken bar fights etc.) then you do not have to declare your CR.
