Let the total amount of money = x
then the shared amount by 10 persons = x / 10
and the shared amount by 8 persons = x / 8
so, x / 8 - x /10 = 30
0.125 x - 0.1 x = 30
0.025x = 30
x =30 / 0.025
x =1200
then the shared amount by 10 persons = x / 10
and the shared amount by 8 persons = x / 8
so, x / 8 - x /10 = 30
0.125 x - 0.1 x = 30
0.025x = 30
x =30 / 0.025
x =1200
