想問大厦消防系統中，何謂“消防中途泵”？

先解釋少少關於水壓的問題吧﹗因為大氣壓力的問題﹐我們是不可能把水泵到無限高的﹐泵到某個高度﹐地面上再加水壓都無可能把水再泵高一點的了。
很否惜﹐這個高度好像只得20多層樓高而已。(無記錯好似是75米)

而為了順利把水泵上更高的位置﹐只好在比這個高度低一點的位置﹐放多個中途泵了。

我同意 Mike TAM 既講法，但應該將“大氣壓力”改爲“地心吸力”更加理想，因爲D水被地心吸力吸住泵唔到咁高。

According to Code of Practice, immediate booster pump set shall be installed while the building height is over 60m above the ground level.

The pump set is used to boost the water from F.S. inlet to the remote fire hydrant. In addition, the pump is started by pushing the manual button at F.S. inlet cabinet.
